Parking Regulations

Permit Parking Only
Parking regulations are enforced year-round, even when classes are not in session.

Weekend Parking Rules
Parking in any legal, non-reserved space is FREE from 4 p.m. on Friday through 6 a.m. on Monday.

Visitors

Every person who parks a motor vehicle on University property, including a motorcycle or moped, must have a valid University parking permit or pay at a parking meter or pay station. Please see the options that we have available for our visitors.

Daily Parking

Daily Permits

One-day permits valid from 6 a.m. to midnight, may be purchased for $3/day

Available for pick-up at:

  • Parking Services in Blackhawk Commons Lower Level from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
  • University Books & More in Reeve Memorial Union from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.

Vehicles with valid visitor permits may be parked in Lot 15, the first level of the High Avenue Parking Ramp (in spaces numbered 158 and lower, except reserved spaces) or in any other visitor lot from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Visitors without a permit should use a meter or pay station.

Guest lecturers not receiving compensation or candidates for employment may obtain a free parking permit if the host department requests it in writing or via email.

 

Overnight Permits (beginning at 4 p.m.)

Visitors needing overnight parking must use the Pay-By-Space stations in the High Avenue Parking Ramp at the rate of $1/hour or purchase an overnight permit.

Overnight permits cost $7/night and are only available at Parking Services during regular business hours. Overnight permits start at 4 p.m. on the first date and are valid until 9 a.m. on the end date listed on the permit.

Overnight visitor parking permits are only valid for spaces numbered 158 and lower on the first level of the High Avenue Parking Ramp (except in reserved spaces or restricted areas).

In accordance with Residence Life policy, visitors staying as a guest in a residence hall may only purchase parking for two consecutive nights.

 

Pay-and-Display Stations

Locations:

  • Lot 15 next to Blackhawk Commons ($1.50/hour)
  • High Avenue ($1/hour)
  • Osceola Street ($1/hour)

Allows user to purchase a parking permit valid in increments from three minutes to 16 hours.

Permit must be placed on the passenger side of the front dash and be made clearly visible to enforcement staff.

No parking on High Avenue and/or Osceola Street from 2 a.m. to 5 a.m.

No parking in Lot 15 from midnight to 6 a.m. Tuesday through Friday.

Pay stations cannot refund money.

If you experience a problem with a meter or pay station, contact Parking Services immediately at 920-424-4455 to notify us of the meter/pay station number and the problem you are encountering so that we may address the issue.  If after hours, leave a message so we may address the issue the following business day.

Pay-by-Space Stations

Locations:

  • First level of the High Avenue Parking Ramp ($1/hour)

To Use:

  1. Pull into a parking space (remember the space number).
  2. Go to one of the Pay-by-Space Stations (located in stairwells of ramp).
  3. Type in the space number and press ENTER.
  4. Insert credit card or bills and/or coins to add time.
  5. Press the GREEN button to validate the transaction and print receipt (if the GREEN button is not pushed, the transaction will NOT be valid).

You cannot add time after you have pressed the GREEN button. Pay stations cannot refund money.

Meters

Metered parking is available in some campus lots (see map) at a rate of $1/hour

  • Nickel = 3 minutes
  • Dime = 6 minutes
  • Quarter = 15 minutes

Meters are enforced:

Monday-Thursday: 6 a.m. – midnight

Friday: 6 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Parking is not permitted in metered spaces midnight to 6 a.m. When a lot is closed, the meters located in that lot may not be used. 

Permits are NOT a substitute for meter payments.

Vehicles with handicapped permits may be parked at meters; however, meter fees must still be paid.

After the first ticket is issued for meters and time-limited loading zones, additional tickets may be issued at the designated increments of illegal parking in those areas, for example, every 15 minutes (15-minute zone), every 20 minutes (20-minute meter), etc.

30-minute Meters

Lot 14: 1 meter
Lot 28: 1 meter
Lot 29: 2 meters
Lot 33: 1 meter

1-hour Meters

Lot 11: 2 meters
Lot 13: 2 meters

2-hour Meters

Behind SRWC: 10 meters
Lot 13: 6 meters
Lot 37: 1 meter

4-hour Meters

Lot 14: 13 meters
